After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Spelman College in 2015, Precious was ready to dive head first into infusing her passion for fashion with her academic knowledge. She wanted to tell stories through styling and creative directing. In the fall she moved back home to Houston Texas and Couture Moments, her fashion company, was birthed.
Graduation
From fall 2016 to 2017, Precious immersed herself in the luxury realm at Louis Vuitton, contributing as a client advisor and playing a vital role in operations logistics. This period granted her invaluable insights into luxury retail and exclusive access to the fashion industry, culminating in her attendance at Paris Fashion Week in the fall of 2017. Despite finding fulfillment at LV, Precious's true passion lay in building her own business. Towards the end of 2017, armed with newfound knowledge, she transitioned into a full-time entrepreneur, applying her expertise to fuel the growth of Couture Moments.
The Louis Vuitton Era
From 2015 to 2016, Precious meticulously built Couture Moments from the ground up, simultaneously leading a dynamic team at the retail store Zara. She collaborated with models, photographers, and various creatives to bring her visions to life. With a goal of crafting a compelling resume, Precious strategically put her ideas into motion, aspiring to attract big brands and notable entertainers in the future.
Building & Establishing
In 2019, Precious ventured into a new chapter, assisting prominent fashion stylists in the industry. Learning firsthand from real-life experiences and collaborating with some of the best, she honed her skills in curating impeccable looks for red carpet events, television appearances, and award shows. These invaluable experiences not only opened doors but propelled her business, taking Couture Moments to new heights.
Assisting, Learning, & Growing
In the fall of 2016, Precious took her talents over west to the place where it never rains, Los Angeles California. Here she planned on showcasing her talents on a bigger stage and to a wider audience. Precious was sticking to her plans on building Couture Moments and making it as great as possible.
From The Westside With Love
For five years, Precious served as an assistant stylist, diligently advancing her business as a creative entrepreneur within the industry. Drawing from these experiences, she now possesses the ability to secure and lead her own industry gigs. Having collaborated with notable entertainers like Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe, TV actresses Taylor Polidore and Gail Bean, and fashion brand Gypsy Sport, Precious dedicated herself to creating her unique rhythm in both the industry and entrepreneurial realm. In 2022, driven by a desire to extend professional styling beyond entertainers, she launched Dress Couture, making her expertise accessible to everyday professionals.
